I have a toothache. What do I do?
Do not ignore it. Call us! The range of treatment needed can be from nothing to having a root canal or tooth removed but do not take any chances. Infection can spread from the mouth to other areas of the body creating a much worse problem.
What can I do right now?
You can still call as we are always fielding emergency calls. We care about you and want to do what we can to help you get back into shape. If able to do so, taking Ibuprofen 200 mg and Tylenol Extra Strength (both over the counter medications) together normally helps to aid in pain relief. Please consult a physician to make sure it is safe to do so prior to taking these medications. If there is a hole in the tooth, you can place cotton dipped in clove oil directly into the hole but do not let it touch your gums or it can make them blister.
Can my toothache be taken care of today?
Most likely it can. The dentists and staff at Audubon Dental Group understand how awful a toothache can be and do our best to see you as soon as possible. We believe, if possible, to treat you today and get you back to normal function as soon as possible.
